Q4 how did you use media technologies in the constructive,research planning and evaluation stages

we used many diffrent forms of media to produce our video, digi pack and website.


We used several sources in collecting our research, i mainly used wikepedia to gain my research, i used this because it is normal has very detailed and relevant infomation on it that is easy to access. I have also used search engingenes to help me find the information that i needed to create a successful piece of successful work, i used search engines because they are very useful for taking a very large amount of information and narrow it down to just the relevant things that you need for the precise thing you are looking for. I have also read several music magazines to help gain a more broader understanding of the music industry and how a band or artist turns themself into alomst a product. Using theese forms of technology relally gave me a broad view of the music indusrty as a whole, however they are enonomus normally the information can be unrealiable so you have to cross reference the infomation which i have done because every piece of primary research i have done i can back it up with secondary research.





In our planning stages we used lots of diffrent forms of technology to help us with our planning stage. we used a camera phone to take some basic shots because it was small and easier to use than the other camera we had, we used theese shots to help us plan what we would include in our movie video because they gave us an idea of what worked and what didnt. We also used the technology of you tube because we watched some animated music videos and this also gave us a good idea of what sort of things are included in a music video. We also used editing software in our planning stage because we could add basic effects to give us an idea of what looked good and what didnt. this really helped us because we knew what kind of effects to use and what not to use. We also used the media intranet at school to get early feedback about what people thought of our ideas and early videos, this was very helpful because it gave us an impresion of what our target audience liked and what they disliked.





we used a high quality camera to create the stop aniamtion for our video and with out this technology we would not have been able to create such a high quality piece of work. we also used the high quality camera in the creation of our digi pack because we took phorographs of bar codes and also the dvd logo. We also used editing software in the construction of our video, this was very helpful because it allowed to get rid of footage we didnt wish to use and the video we wanted to use we could enhance and increase the quality by using a range of blurs, filters and animation. we have also used Music editing softwere to shorten the length of our song because we didnt have enough footage and we also used it to make the music in sync with the film. This was vital because without the editing software our video would be out of sync and not match the music or lyrics.



we also used several forms of technology to gain audience feedbak, we used the internet to gain comments from people about all our work from the planning stage to the evaluation stage. This was vital because we used this feedback all the way through our work, if it we didnt have this feedback then we would not have been able to change and adapt our music video and ancillery text and this could have made them not as good as it is. We also used youtube to gain feedback about our music video, this was invaluable because it allowed us to gain constant feedback and comments about our music video at every stage of production and without this feedback from our audience we would not have been as in tune with what they wanted and enjoyed in our music video and also what we needed to change. Without the technology to gain this feedback i feel that our products would not be as good as they are now.



We also used DvD extras to show our pier group and media class our work, this was absolutly vital because we could get important informed feedback from people who are doing the same work we are doing. Other people dvd extras also greatly aided us because they gave us ideas and techniques they we could have included in our music video.



We also used adobe photoshop elements 0.5 to aid us in the time consuming stop motion, in particular the way in which you can add layers and detach and move indivdual piece of the model really aided us because without it the process would have been to difficult and time consuming to do and this would have had a catashrophic effect on our music video. We also used it in the creation of our digipack cover because we could use it to rescale the canvas and add in images that greatly improved the quality of it.

we also used windows movie maker to put all the animation together, we used it because it was easy to use and also it was ideqal for whta we wanted to use it for because it had a diffrence between the general frames of 12 seconds but we could also increase this to 24 if we needed to. We also used to it to cut the music down by 40 seconds however we would use vegas movie maker to refine this.

we used vegas movie maker to edit the final production video, we used this because we knew that it was a very good programme that we had use before so was familiar with it. We used it to add the real life footage that we removed later because it wasnt very good, we then used it to repeat and change certain scenes so that we had enough footage, this proved easy and i belive this was down to the ease of access that comes with vegas movie maker, we also added effects suchas the lighting near the end of the song.

We also used technology to actually do this blog and all the writen side of the work, it is because of the internet that i feel our work is too a high standard because it aided us with the research and planning without which we not have had a clue about what to include into it.
